Karkkidaka Vavu Bali is a deeply sacred and emotional ritual observed by Hindus, especially in Kerala, to honor and pay homage to departed ancestors. This auspicious ceremony falls on the Amavasya (new moon day) in the Malayalam month of Karkkidakam and is believed to be the most powerful time to seek blessings from our forefathers.

The Kerala Hindus of Georgia (KHGA) is pleased to organize this important spiritual event in August, providing an opportunity for devotees living away from Kerala to continue and preserve this meaningful tradition with devotion and authenticity.

Karkkidaka Vavu Bali holds immense spiritual importance in Hindu tradition. It is believed that performing Bali rituals on this day helps in offering prayers to departed souls (Pitru Devatas) and brings peace and liberation (moksha) to ancestors.
